SERVICES OF THE REGIMENT
|
| SCHOOL OF THE SOLDIER |
| |
The First Sergeant organizes a School of the Soldier periodically as the need
arises and enough participants are available to make it worth while; usually at
least once a year.
|
| SADDLE AND TACK ASSISTANCE PROGRAM |
| |
Through success in early fund raising ventures, the Regiment has established a
fund to assist new troopers in acquiring saddles and tack when they otherwise
would not be financially able to acquire one. Though limited, we are often in a
position to fund a set of tack, expecting agreeable monthly payments in return. The Regiment does not charge interest or make a profit for this service. The
C.O. or adjutant usually has a set of tack, purchased for this program, that is
available for rental at events. These rental payments then decrease the cost of
the tack when it is purchased later by a trooper.
|
| LIVING HISTORY LIABILITY INSURANCE |
| |
As a member of the living History Association in Vermont, the Regiment
participates in a Liability insurance program, providing $2,000,000 protection
in the event a member is involved in a re-enacting incident that results in
damage to others. There is also a Personal Accident expense policy available on
an individual basis.
|
| IRS 5O1(c)(3) NON-PROFIT CORPORATE TAX EXEMPTION |
| |
The Regiment, through it's charter as a Texas Not-for-Profit corporation and
subsequent qualification with the Internal Revenue Service, has a number of
qualified tax exemptions available to it's members. See your CPA on this matter.
